Hi, I’m Reverend Matt, and today we are going to discuss what to do in case you are attacked by a dinosaur. First of all, by show of hands, how many people here have been attacked by a dinosaur? All right, secondly, by riotous cheering, how many people have not been attacked by a dinosaur? Now, I know what you’re thinking, you’re thinking “I could never be attacked by a dinosaur, getting attacked by a dinosaur is something that happens to other people,” but are you aware that over 57% of Americans are attacked by dinosaurs every year? And do you know why you were not aware of that? I’ll just let you guess why. In any case, those are bad odds, and so it behooves even those people living in relatively dinosaur-free geological periods or undiscovered islands, valleys, or plateaus to learn a few simple techniques of managing dinosaur attack.

Reverend Matt returns to the Reel Education podcast! It’s a terrific idea – hosts Tim Wick and Melissa Kaercher show a famous movie to someone who has never seen it, and then discuss it with them on the podcast. Before you get ahead of yourself, yes, I have seen Jurassic Park; I was brought on as a dinosaur consultant. It is extremely fun and educational and such and you should listen to it right here!

On my third guest appearance on the extraordinary Doctor Who Podcast, “Get Off My World,” I finally get to talk about Silurians! I in fact get to do a full ten-minute Monster Science on them. Recorded live at Minneapolis’ Phoenix Theater, alongside such amazing local theater luminaries as Laura Zabel (encountering Doctor Who for the first time), Tim Uren and Eric Webster (doing, along with the other folks, a Doctor Who adventure in the style of old radio dramas), the Sevateem (with original Doctor Who songs!) and the exceptional series hosts, Joshua English Scrimshaw, Pat Harrigan, and Kelvin Hatle!
